EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF “LOMAS” DISTRICT NOW HAVE COMPUTERS Actions taken by Shougang Hierro Peru SAA, through the Iron Ore Civil Association “Progreso y Desarrollo", combined add an investment of 13 million soles, approximately July 15th will be always remembered by the school district and the community of Lomas Arequipa, as a day of great importance to their educational development and direct connection with the knowledge of the world, thanks to the investment of more than 163,000 Soles for the acquisition of 56 computers with their licensed software, 2 multimedia projectors and 5 multi-function printers, these equipment was donated by Shougang Hierro Peru SAA and distributed according to the needs of Educational Institutions such as "Indalecio Trillo," "Alfredo Molina" and "Santisima Corazon de Maria” |

It is the first time the Lomas district receives a contribution of this type from a private company, through the Iron Ore Civil Association “Progreso y Desarrollo”, on the framework of the Voluntary Mining Fund, it arrives with a significant help to children and youth by offering better conditions for local educational development and progress The ceremony was centralized at the "Indalecio Trillo" school where a Congress Representative of the Republic Mr. Rafael Yamashiro and Juan Carlos Eguren attended, and officials from Shougang Hierro Peru SAA, Mr. Wu Yi Min, Assistant General Manager and Chief Administrative Officer and Mr. Fan Lin Fu, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and Chairman of the Technical Coordination Committee of the Iron Ore Civil Association "Progreso y Desarrollo", who were received by the local authorities headed by its Mayor, Ms. Josefina Mejia Bocanegra, plus it had the company of the Mayor of Bella Union, Mr. Daniel Aurelio Denegri, the Mayor of Acari, Carlos Mejia and residents of the place where teachers and students thanked the company for this donation The Congress representatives, when gave a speech, stressed the importance of this donation and urged students to take this opportunity given to them to entry into the virtual age, which will provide greater knowledge and ability to interconnect with the world.. This support for the Lomas district is part of the Company’s Social Responsibility policy of this mining company that remains present in the region and area of influence including Bella Union and Acari districts, who are already receiving support for their communities as the recent donation to Bella Union district of a waste collection truck as well as the construction of a library, the implementation of a room with 12 computers, among others, and a dump truck to the district of Acari.
